2027 U14 Representative Program Details

Age & Eligibility Requirements for Selection Group

• Must be a Full-Time Primary Registered BWHA Member.
• Age Group: U14 players must be born in 2013 or 2014 (turning 13 or 14 in 2027).

Tournament Dates

• U14 Southern Cross: Sunday 9th May 2027 (Mothers Day), Sunshine Coast 
• U14 State Championships: 27th June - 30th June, Townsville

All selected players must participate in both tournaments.

Costs

• Trial Nomination Fee per Player: $65.00
• Tournament Cost per Selected Player: TBA

Self-Organised Travel and Accommodation

To prioritise player safety, especially in relation to underage members, athletes are required to self-organise their accommodation to help ensure they are in a safe environment and allow for adequate supervision. It also allows families to choose accommodation that suits their budget and, where possible, enables athletes to stay with relatives. This can help ease the financial burden often associated with representative tournaments.

Trial Dates

• Trial 1: Sunday 21 February, 7:00am - 12:00pm
• Trial 2: Sunday 28 February, 6:30am - 11:30am
• Trial 3: Sunday 7 March, 6:30am - 11:30am
• Wet Weather Trial: Sunday 21 March

Please note that Southern Cross is no longer part of the selection process. It is now an opportunity for teams to prepare for the State Championships.

First Aid At Trials

BWHA does not have a designated first aid officer at trials in order to help reduce costs. However, the BWHA staff member is qualified in first aid. Players should approach them immediately if any assistance is needed.

• Sunday 23 May (Longer Training Session)

• Sunday 20 June

Important Information

BWHA anticipates entering five teams into the U14 State Championships. This will only be possible if we receive enough coach, umpire, technical official and manager nominations to support all five teams.

If you are available and willing to take on one of these roles, please submit your nomination. Your support is essential to giving our U14 athletes the opportunity to compete at State Championships.
