2025 U18 Representative Program Details

Age & Eligibility Requirements for Selection Group

• Must be a Full-Time Primary Registered BWHA Member.
• Age Group: U18 players must be born in 2007 or 2008 (turning 17 or 18 in 2025).

Queensland U16 1 Selected Players (Special Eligibility)

• Players turning 16 in 2025 and selected for the Queensland U16 1 team in 2025 can nominate for either the U16 or U18 BWHA representative trials.
• Players may only participate in one Junior Hockey Queensland State Championship for BWHA in 2025.

Tournament Dates

• U18 Southern Cross: 23rd March (Sunshine Coast)
• U18 State Championships: 25th–28th April (Townsville)

Costs

• Trial Nomination Fee: $60 per player
• Tournament Fee for Selected Players: $1,500
• Playing Uniform: BWHA playing uniforms in 2025 will need to be purchased by all individual players. Details and costs will be outlined in early 2025.

Travel & Accommodation

Players are responsible for organising their own travel to and from the BWHA-arranged accommodation in Townsville. Once they arrive at the accommodation, all transport for U18 players throughout the tour will be coordinated by BWHA. All players will be staying at the same hotel, with meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—included as part of the tour package. Players must arrive at the accommodation in Townsville on Thursday, 24th April, between 2:15pm and 6:15pm. Following the closing ceremony, players will be released to their parents and are responsible for arranging their own travel home.

• Trial 1: Monday, 24th February, 6:30 PM–10:00 PM (Brisbane North Hockey Centre)
• Trial 2: Sunday, 2nd March, 7:00 AM–11:30 AM (Brisbane North Hockey Centre)
