| Ascot WHC Trials for Goal Keepers, January 2013 | 21/12/2012 |
| Ascot WHC welcomes Division 1, 2 & 3 standard Goalkeepers to trial for our turf teams for the 2013 season. Training will begin on Wednesday 9th January 2013 at the State Hockey Centre, Colmslie, from 6:30pm to 8pm. Ascot's Division 1 Goalkeeping position is open after our International Keeper had to return to Canada for National duties. All turf goalkeeping positions like our on-field playing position are now open for the 2013 season. Training is at the State Hockey Centre every week from Wed 9th Jan and we will have trials on Sunday 20th January and Saturday 9th February from 2pm to 4pm at the SHC. All interested goalkeepers are encouraged to attend a training session in January before trials. All field players interested in joining the club are also encouraged to attend training i January before trials. | Hockey Zone in conjunction with Just Hockey are running a "10 Top Goals" competition via Youtube. Just watch the attached videos or go to the Hockey Zone website for details.
Pick your top three goals from the 10 in each video and enter you selections in the comments box below the video. If your selections match those of the judging panel you will be in to win a $500 gift voucher from Just Hockey at any of their stores in the country.
You may enter as many times as you like and in both divisions, men's and women's, so their are lots of chances to get your hands on some new gear for next year. Winners will be announced over the finals weekend 15th / 16th September in a special online only Bloopers Show, with all the best bits from the show this year.

| The University of Queensland will commemorate a century of women's hockey in August.
One hundred years of UQ women's hockey will be celebrated at the club's Centennial Ball at the Cricketers Club at The Gabba on August 11.
Tickets to the ball, which starts at 7pm, are $100 per person, which includes a three-course meal, four-hour beverage package, and live entertainment.

| Redcliffe Leagues 80th Anniversary Celebrations - New Date | 25/06/2012 |
| A new date and venue has been set for Redcliffe Leagues Hockey Club's 80th anniversary celebrations.
The event will now be held on Saturday September 1 at the Redcliffe Leagues Club.
Guest speaker will be Redcliffe hockey legend and ex-Australian international Graham Reid, the assistant coach of the Kookaburras team for the London Olympic Games.
The cost of the dinner is $50 per person.

| BWHA is looking to purchase a trailer to be used by the Grounds Staff and Committee, however we thought in the first instance to ask if any members have a second-hand trailer in good working condition that they would like to donate or sell at a reasonable price to BWHA.
